Moxie Mingled at the Clayton Hotel, Manchester Airport

1 Mar 2022

Last Wednesday saw Moxie head off to the airport. We’d say sadly NOT to fly to the sun, but to be honest, it wasn’t sad, largely due to the warm welcome and the stunning surroundings of the Clayton Hotel. The Clayton Hotel is the perfect place for a meeting, an occasion, or for a stressless stay before or after a flight abroad – there’s even a parking package for this very purpose.

Room with a View

There are 365 bedrooms, the relaxed Aviator bar and terrace, plus several state-of-the-art meeting rooms with the perfect atmosphere for networking, training, meetings, and conferences. Here at the Clayton, delegates can mix and mingle, make great decisions, train, and learn and simply be inspired. The meeting rooms – some of which accommodate up to 60 delegates – are stylish, well-equipped, and quiet, as well as blessed with plenty of natural light. The hotel is just minutes from each airport terminal.

Breakfast Meeting

The polished and welcoming team looked after us ever so well. Already impressed with the stunning hotel, once we’d had a little look round and settled into the Aviator bar, we were blown away by our surroundings. This was a lovely morning of networking and the delicious refreshments definitely helped! Good coffee, tea and juices but also delectable fruit and granola cups, delicious Danish pastries and even naughty-but-nice cream cakes. And this is WORK!

No-Pressure Networking

A typically busy and buzzing Moxie began with our usually relaxed chatter – catching up with old friends, introducing ourselves to new people and absolutely THRILLED to see so many recent newbies already becoming regulars. THIS is what Moxie is all about – not pitching or high-pressure networking, just extending your network and meeting fellow local businesses.

Introducing Everybody

Wendy’s low-key introductions are also a big plus for those who prefer a more laid-back vibe and this time, she decided to go live on Facebook. After all, what could possibly go wrong? After all, she’s always word-perfect. Isn’t she? Oh, wait…

No, seriously, as ever, she did a grand job. In fact, if you couldn’t join us on the day, head over to the I love Moxie Mingle Facebook page or the Moxie Minglers Facebook Group, where you’ll be able to catch the intros and see some of what you missed. And next time, don’t miss out – we’re at the lovely Loona Restaurant and bar on Station Road in Cheadle Hulme for an informal evening even on Thursday 17 March, from 5pm. Some of us may leave the cars at home and continue after. Join us, you’ll like it. This isn’t just networking. This is Moxie Mingling and we do things differently.
