A health and well-being business has been crowned top of the shops by Cheadle MP, Mary Robinson, in her annual competition which sees local residents voting for their favourite establishment.

Amaranth, based in Bramhall, came first in the Best Local Shop competition bagging almost a fifth of the 800 votes cast. Runners-up were Cheadle’s Crafts by the Card Fairy, beauty therapists Chapel Holistics in Cheadle Hulme, Best Friends Pets in Gatley, Going Dutch Flowers in Heald Green and the Take 5 café at Stepping Hill Hospital.
