Appeal to re-home Cherry Tree
17 Feb 2016Urgent Appeal to re-home Public Market’s Cherry Tree. The first stage of the Public Market refurbishment was completed on December 7th and as spring approaches phase two will begin in the next few weeks.
The five week project will focus on the exterior areas with the rear terrace transformed with a 5 metre standalone bar, underfloor heating and a retractable roof.
Ged says;
“We’re very excited to be moving forward with stage two of our refurbishment and hope to have the work completed by mid-April. The rear terrace has great potential and we intend to maximise the use of this space to ensure our guests can enjoy alfresco drinking and dining all year round”
As part of the extensive plans the rear area will be cleared which means finding a new home for the Cherry blossom tree which currently resides in this area. The team are keen to find it a new home where it can continue to flourish. The tree is moving out of its dormant phase which means it needs to be rehomed urgently. Ged continues;
“We had several parties interested in taking the tree but unfortunately due to its size it’s less suited to a residential property. It’s important that it is moved before it begins to flower to ensure the best chance of survival and we’ve noticed it has started to bud in the last few days. We know there are several great causes in the area and would love to see it rehomed somewhere where it can continue to bring joy to many.”
The tree is 3 metres high and the new owner will need to be able to transport it from Public Market, to its new home. Interested parties can view the Cherry tree at any time at Public Market, 26 Bramhall Lane South, Bramhall.
Any requests to take it can be made via email [email protected] or phone 0161 439 8080 by Saturday 20th February. Please ensure you provide your contact details for the team to get in touch.
