Bramhall Celebrates Chinese New Year with a Roar!
25 Feb 2015Local residents and their families were treated to a Chinese Lion Dance last Saturday kindly organised by Sue Day from Modiste.
How often do we see a Chinese Lion dancing on the streets of Bramhall? Well, thanks to Sue Day from Modiste and The Chinese Art Zone in Manchester who brought their Lion and drummer, we did last weekend for Chinese New Year. As always, we could rely on the residents and families in Bramhall to come and support our local events – The Village Square was buzzing with excitement.
It was probably a first for nearly all of the children to see a Chinese Lion up close and personal which was evident by the giggles and smiles as it jiggled, winked and fluttered its ears. To top it off A Sweet Thought donated red envelopes containing money to 40 lucky children.
Thank you to everyone who participated and came along for the fun!
