Bramhall Residents Support Key 103’s Worthy Cause

9 Jan 2014

Key 103‘s Mike and Chelsea went looking for help this year in joining them to raise £1 million worth of toys for 150,000 children in Manchester. Bramhall Residents once again showed their generosity by donating hundreds of presents.

Key 103‘s Mission Christmas was very well supported from the people in Bramhall.

The following places very kindly agreed to be drop off points for the presents and have shared their experiences:

Methodist Church Pre-School Donated 8 carrier bags full with over a hundred pounds worth of toys from staff and parents.

Sandwich Heaven “We started quite late with the Mission Christmas appeal, and it was slow to begin with but within days we had started to get a slow trickle of toys being brought in. It gained momentum and before we knew we had to take over the board room at Maestro Insurance services a couple of doors up from Sandwich Heaven, all the staff and the customers got behind it and we donated all our staff Christmas tips to the appeal raising £105 in tips. The toys ranged from scooters for boys and girls electronic games, footballs, keyboards, pirate ships, dolls house and lots more. Our generous staff and customers purchased toys worth over an estimated £1000! ”

Keller Kitchens  “I had in excess of 60 presents donated by Bramhall folk and also we took the Methodist pre-school presents along with ours to the distribution centre. A huge success and worth the effort.”

Brian Sharples & Son Funeral Directors  “We were completely touched by the generosity of the people in Bramhall, they delivered a equilvalant of a van load of presents. One particular gentleman went shopping and returned with around 40 presents!”

Thank you also to Mosley Jarman, Co-Op Travel and Ladybrook School for all your help in this worthy cause.
