23 May 2017Bramhall restaurant cooks up fundraising campaign – Khandoker donates £10 from every set meal sold.
Local curry house, Khandoker based on Fir Road, Bramhall is supporting Stockport based charity Retrak by donating £10 from every set meal sold during May.
Money raised by the team at Khandoker will be donated to the charity which helps street children in Africa and South America to make a positive difference to their lives.
Retrak is a faith-based child-centred international development organisation which believes that children thrive best in a safe, loving and caring family environment. It supports street children in Africa and South America to make a positive difference to their lives and choose a more positive future within either a family setting or move to independent living within the community. Retrak’s proven approach has become a powerful instigator of change and has gained the support and trust of communities on the ground in Uganda, Ethiopia, Malawi and Kenya.
Commenting on the partnership Mr Khandoker said:
“We are delighted to be able to support such a fantastic cause. The work the charity does makes a real difference to children’s lives and helps them make a more positive future within either a family setting or move to independent living within the community.
He continued:
“We have been working with the charity since 2011 and have raised over £10,000 in that period and we looking forward to smashing our target this year.”
