Bramhall & Woodford Rotary Club – Santa’s Christmas Village Tour

29 Nov 2016

The Bramhall and Woodford Rotary Santa will begin his rounds in his sleigh on Saturday 3rd December until 18th December in Bramhall and Cheadle Hulme meeting children and finding out just what they would REALLY like for Christmas.

The Christmas Float is a well known fund raiser which has been in existence for over forty years raising thousands of pounds for many deserving causes in that time. This year fifteen local organisations and charities will be visiting most of the streets of Bramhall and Cheadle Hulme with Santa and undertaking a door to door collection.

When you hear or see the Float please encourage your young ones to go and see Santa, also please give generously. This year the Float is being organised by Bramhall and Woodford Rotary Club and is brilliantly supported by BizSpace who have donated the sweets and Express Solicitors who have kindly lent them the van to pull the sleigh.

Samuel from BizSpace says

“For many of us Christmas is a fun and exciting time. We all look forward to the endless mince pies, the family games, the Christmas pudding and of course opening some awesome presents. What is often overlooked is the amazing work that is done within the community to help give hope to those less fortunate. That is we jumped at the opportunity to help our local Rotary club. The work they do in truly inspiring.”

Leaflets will be delivered to your door by 4th Bramhall Scout group towards the end of November which will let you know which night he will be coming to your street to hear your Christmas wish list and bring you some early Christmas goodies.

This year SANTA STOPS are being introduced to some of the longer routes on Sat 10, Sun 11 & Sun 18 this will mean to help speed things up on those roads the collectors won’t come and knock at your door, but Santa will stop at clearly signed designated points to talk with the children. No one misses out, but please download the map for stop times here : santas-rounds-2016 or  check out the timetable which should drop through your letterbox soon.

Don’t forget to track him with the SantaTracker on our website www.bwrotary.org , with daily information on our the Bramhall and Woodford  Rotary Facebook page and our I Love Bramhall Facebook page.
