Friends of Lumb Lane Park

8 Jul 2015

The Friends of Lumb Lane Park (FoLLP) held their first public meeting on Thursday 2 July, and even though it rained heavily during that time, more than 20 local residents came over to show their support.

Members of the committee were able to discuss their plans for the playground which include a better climbing frame that would be of interest for children of wider age ranges, including teenagers, sitting areas and bins.

Alejandra Solis, FoLLP Chair, said; “Lumb Lane Park is at the very heart of the village, its time we give this neglected park some tlc, the community has been amazing and incredibly encouraging towards the cause, we look forward to working with everyone to make this park what we all need and hope for.”

“We are working closely with Stockport Council to design a playground that will fit the needs of the community, we shall do a formal consultation in the following months, but in the meantime we are happy for people to get in touch through Facebook or email.”
