Headlander announces it’s very own artist in residence!

Headlander Festival, set in Bramhall, announces its very own artist in residence…UK renowned Chris Cyprus!
Chris, who has appeared on BBC Gardener’s World, Lancashire Life and numerous times on BBC Radio, is set to capture on canvas the fun and spirit of the Headlander Festival 2014, and donate the paintings to Millie’s Trust to auction.

Headlander, which is regarded as “…a local festival with a national feel….” returns for its second year on 21st and 22nd June, in the 13 acre grounds of Stockport Rugby Club.

85 acts have signed up to provide 80 hours of live music…..tipped to be yet another sell out event. Doors open 12 noon on Saturday 21st June with free car parking and Summer Breeze camping field on hand for families who want to make a break out of the weekend. Top Loader, Stooshe and The Mend are amongst the back to back entertainment Headlander is providing.

Chris has an interesting story of his own…returning to his palette following two bouts of cancer, and bizarrely close brushes with the Twin Tower and London bombing terror outrages. “I realised how precious life is having been involved in four near death misses, and you have to make the most of it. I’ve always loved painting so decided to commit full time to my passion. I’m delighted to be able to use my work to raise money for Millie’s Trust which I thoroughly support.”

Details of how to bid for Chris’s paintings will be revealed on www.headlanderfestival.co.uk during the week leading up the festival.
“Having someone like Chris Cyprus involved in raising funds for Millie’s Trust is fantastic, and his donation of a canvas for auction/sale is amazingly generous. Thank you Chris” says Joanne & Dan Thompson of Millies Trust.

Chris’s work is being displayed at the Sportsman’s Dinner, DIVA night as well as Millie’s Trust Charity Ball, and he is giving 25% of any painting sold at Headlander events to Millie’s Trust.
