Headlander, tipped as “…a local festival with a national feel….” has announced Orbit Developments as Festival sponsor.

Following last year’s resounding success, the Headlander festival returns to Bramhall for its second year on 21st and 22nd June! 85 acts have signed up to provide 80 hours of live music…..tipped to be yet another sell out event.

Headlander is supporting three charities – Millie’s Trust, OXJAM and War Child…and are delighted to announce Stockport’s largest commercial property landlord, Orbit Developments, as Headlander’s main sponsor.

Tony Jones, managing director of Orbit Developments, said: “As the biggest commercial landlord in Stockport we know that it is a fantastic place to work, live and do business. It’s great to support a high profile, family orientated event such as Headlander, which attracts more people into the Borough to see what great things it has to offer.”

Staged to provide affordable entertainment for the whole family, the festival takes place in the 13 acre grounds of Stockport Rugby Club, with Family Fun Days that provide fantastic days out for all the family…and the perfect opportunity for festival lovers with children to still take part! Five marquees will be buzzing with events, stalls and workshops during the day for all ages….transformed to stages in the evening.

Imagine FM are broadcasting the event live which includes a fun fair, magicians, face painters, balloon modelling, bouncy castles, giant slides, Bucking Broncho and free access to the on-site Wild Things Soft Play Area for the under 10s.

For older children the Urban Sports Arena has lots to keep them entertained including performances from Stephen Swain- the World Top 10 Pro Inline Skater and Tony Kelzo, the renowned Graffiti Artist as well as national artist Chris Cyprus who will be capturing the weekend on canvas.

Headlander is committed to showcasing undiscovered talent…through the Open Mic Competition sponsored by I Love Bramhall taking place on the Sunday afternoon, judged by industry professionals with prizes to the value of £1000…and Battle of the Bands second year of competition.

Make the most of the trade village with food from around the world; The Teenage Market on site as well as the Dyed Urban Sports Arena and street artists. Plus there will be a Starlight Academy Rock Zone, with great singing & dancing acts planned.
So all’s set for you to have a fantastic day out with the kids on both the Saturday and Sunday, and join in the evening music festival once the kids are in bed!

And for adults…whether your taste is Rock , Indie, Reggae , Ska, Blues, Jazz or Acoustic ….there’s something for everyone from existing bands and breaking acts!

National as well as local bands are spotlighted on both Saturday and Sunday night. The packed line up, headlined by Toploader, Stooshe and The Mend includes acts such as The Rainband, Feud, Purge and fresh on the scene…Kazo
