
Headlander – Open Mic Competition – Line Up
17 Jun 2015We are pleased to announce the line up for Sunday’s Headlander’s Open Mic competition.
Don’t miss the chance to see the talented artists battling it out at the Headlander Festival on the ILoveBramhall.com stage.
Taking place on Sunday 21st June from 12.30-4pm, the music competition is open to all ages and genres; and acts can perform either covers or their own original songs. The winner walks away with a number of prizes including
- Studio recording time with Dan Broad Music Productions
- £200 vouchers from Richer Sounds
- £100 vouchers from Fab music
- HD music video of their winning performance.
Jessica Richardson scooped last year’s prize singing and playing her guitar.
Come down and support the acts there’s some talented people on stage.
The judges this year are
- Ian Firth – Drummer from The Contact Band – A Bramhall based musician and drum teacher, passionate about live music.
- Chris Corry – Bramhall Vinyl Finders – Organiser of Bramhall Record Fair and mad for it!
- Emma Moran – Unique Star Talent – Founder of the performing arts company
- Mike Chisholm – Tranmission X – Music writer, works with Oxjam, DJ, musician.
- Tim Hennel -A singer in various bands since 1984, Tim draws on years of acting and musical experience. Television credits include “Coronation Street” and “Phoenix Nights”. Tim has toured in numerous musicals and was a Television presenter on the channel that launched the careers of Natasha Kaplinski and Sacha Baron Cohen.
- Rachel Wallace – We Are Stockport – former BBC Senior Journalist, now Place Campaign Manager ‘We are Stockport’. Last year she successfully launched live music venue, The Acoustic Lounge, as well as securing national media coverage for Headlander. Rachel’s ears are open to spot emerging musical talent to feature on We are Stockport.
