Headlander – Open Mic Review
25 Jun 2014Jessica Richardson sings her way to winning the I Love Bramhall Open Mic Competition at Headlander Festival.
After a brilliant weekend at the Headlander Festival, I Love Bramhall and its new recruit Darcey the dog mascot had a fab time enjoying meeting the crowds and even taking a few scary rides. The weather was on our side as we all sweltered in the glorious sunshine!
The highlight for I Love Bramhall was the being the main sponsor for the Open Mic competition.
Our own Wendy was amongst other judges Kaily Lau from Channel MBC, Joe Gardner – Music Producer, Kurt Fitzgerald & Charlie Holliday from Transmission X.
We enjoyed Sunday afternoon in the Oxjam tent listening to some undiscovered talent who entered into our Open Mic competition.
They were all really talent performers, who not only sang brilliantly but also many wrote their on songs and played the guitar.
Closing the show was Sean Harthill who was the youngest contestant but certainly got the crowd singing and clapping along to Bohemian Rhapsody.
The winner Jessica Richardson walked away with brilliant prizes including a session in the recording studio, music vouchers and iPad.
Close runners up were Lucy Eliza and Miss Jenem – well done to all!
Don’t miss winner Jessica playing at Bramhall Festival next weekend!
