Help Lumb Lane Park Bloom Again!

The Friends of Lumb Lane Park (FoLLP) are planning on giving the park some much needed TLC.

They will be weeding, planting daffodils, crocus and snow drops, as well as tidying up the park grounds; you can join them on Sunday 11 October from 1-4pm.

Bernard Burgess, FoLLP gardening expert adds: “the park is in a sorry state, the playground is a big let down, but on top of that, the grounds are untidy, there are no flowers and the greenery on site is outgrown and full of weeds.”

He continues: “We are working hard to raise the funds to fix the playground, in the meanwhile we can help the park by coming together as a community to give the park a much needed facelift.”

“We hope the whole community shows their support by coming over on the 11th, I would like to remind them to bring their gardening gloves, wellies and waterproofs, we shall provide tea, coffee and cakes, thanks to Juniper Cafe for all the helpers.”

The FoLLP is a group of local residents working together to improve the play facilities of their park; they hope to raise funds to provide a better suited play area for children.

Their aim is to provide a safe space where families can meet up, play, relax, exercise and develop relationships, to build a stronger community and to make Bramhall an even better place to live.
