I LOVE Energi Trampoline Park

23 Nov 2016

The times of the ball pit play areas are soon to be a distant past. Kids still need their kicks though, so what’s the alternative? Energi Trampoline Park Wilmslow is the answer. We caught up with them one morning to see what they were all about.

Since opening in January, the trampoline park has grown and grown into what is becoming one of the most popular kids’ attractions in the area. There are other Energi branches around the country in places such as Preston, York and Newport, but this is the newest one and is, to coin a phrase, ‘smashing it!’

There is a variety of activities you can do at the park too other than ‘just bounce.’ There is a standard package where you can go on the trampolines for an hour and enjoy all of the different facilities at the venue – this is a popular choice with kids and families alike because it allows exploration around the huge trampoline floor. There are also more niche options though such as fitness based classes which are run by Jane and Alex, the amazing fitness instructors there, family sessions, toddler sessions, party sessions, corporate event sessions and so much more. One particular session which caught our eye was the ‘Energi Beats’ sessions which are on Friday nights between 8pm and 10pm. This is where there is a DJ, disco lights and great music for teenagers to bounce around to – a really novel idea and a snip at just £15 per session!

One thing that Energi are branching out into at the moment is aiming towards the student market. A lot of students won’t even be aware of Energi yet due to it being less than a year old and in an industrial estate (Stanley Green), but once the ball gets rolling it’ll attract them left right and centre – it’s a great way to split up your day, set you up for a night out or do some exercise that isn’t at the gym!

If you’re reading this thinking that it’s a great idea for your young children or maybe your teenage sons and daughters will want to go to the Beats session and a junior disco, but there’s nothing for you, think again! Grown adults in their 30s and 40s are often seen fighting till the bitter end on the gladiator beam! Live out the classic battle from Gladiators which we all used to watch once upon a time! It’s great fun.

Gladiators might not be for you, so maybe you just want to go and watch your kids have the best fun they’ve had in ages – that’s fine! You’ll be more than welcome in the first class café which has a fine selection of hot food, cold food and coffee with the perfect vantage point to watch over the park.

The two directors at Energi Wilmslow are John and Justine – who are married! Whoever said don’t work with family!? It’s obviously working with these two anyway! They were away when we went into talk to them, on their way to Carlisle to open a new park which will be run by their son – really keeping it in the family, something which so many of us love.

Why should you give Energi a try then? Why try them over another trampoline park and why over a conventional children’s play area? Other than the fact there is all sorts of fun activities to try out like zorbing, the gladiator beam, disco sessions, basketball, a climbing wall, dodgeball and fitness sessions, it’s a family run business with extremely welcoming staff who love what they do and the facility is as good as you can imagine it to be. Everyone loves trampolines. We LOVE Energi Trampoline Park.
