David has worked in flooring all his working life. That experience and expertise mean Vogue Flooring’s clients are assured of the highest possible levels of service. That superb service matches the quality of flooring products.

“I started in the flooring industry at a small family-run company in Hale, Cheshire in 2000, where I was a fitter’s apprentice. Working alongside one fitter had its benefits and its downsides and I realised I needed to move to a bigger company to acquire more skills and learn different parts of the job.

In 2002 I moved to a company in Sale that had over 30 fitters going out every day, some wood floor fitters, some carpet fitters, commercial fitters and luxury vinyl tile fitters.
Being passed around as an apprentice from team to team I ended up learning a lot about all aspects of the flooring trade and so I gained multiple qualifications in hard flooring and carpets.

In 2013 I was made redundant when the company I worked for went into administration and set myself up as self-employed. Later that year, I found a high-end interior design company that had a flooring company based within it, so approached them to see if they required a flooring installation service, which they did! For the next 4 years, I worked in some of the most affluent properties in the country. This included two 30 million-pound properties in Westminster, London. This was where I found my niche. I realised I wanted to work in the mid-range to high-end flooring sector – I love anything bespoke.

I also really relish a challenge, whether that’s making rugs with faux fur or even upholstering staircases in faux leather.”

Vogue Flooring Installations Ltd is Born

By 2017 David felt it was time to form his own company, utilising and benefitting from his skill and hard work. In the February, David decided he would set up Vogue Flooring Installations ltd. The company started with a small showroom in Stockport, which was shared with sister company Vogue Glass.co.uk. This soon got to be too small, so Vogue Flooring moved to their current larger showroom, where they now have lots more room. The Vogue Flooring showroom has an impressive range of flooring, for every taste and property, from carpets, luxury vinyl tiles, laminate and wood.

David and his family love living in Bramhall. David’s wife is from Bramhall originally, and so they bought their house here back in 2008.
