Light Up Bramhall 2016 – The Photos

5 Dec 2016

Last weekend saw thousands of us in Bramhall Village attending the fabulous annual event ‘Light Up Bramhall’.

On Saturday 26th November Bramhall celebrated all things Christmas, with their fabulous annual event ‘Light Up Bramhall’. Organised by The Bramhall Together Trust, the day was filled with activities for all and finished with a special Laser Light Show at the end of the day!

There were market stalls, a Santa’s Grotto, musicians from Bramhall High School played and Bramhall Community Choir sang in the Village Square and Bramhall Lane South, helping spread the Christmas cheer!

The Methodist Church ran a lantern workshop for children, which then walked through the village including pupils from Moss Hey school which was a very magical sight.
There was brilliant entertainment all day on the Imagine FM stage from

  • * Faye Gregory-Lambert, Bramhalls Got Talent 2016 winner
  • * Alex Lees, Bramhalls Got Talent 2014 winner
  • * Roy Bennet
  • * Snowflakes Sisters
  • * Gabz
  • * Lantern paraders sang “Away in the Manger”

The big Light Switch on was followed by a huge Laser Light Show and lots of fake snow!

After all this excitement it was finally time for photos with Santa!

A big thank you to the Bramhall Area Committee (Our Bramhall Councillors) for donating funds towards this event, allowing it to be a brilliant success. Thanks to Mercato for offering to look after the local councillors, our Mayor and the VIPs.

This event is arranged by the Bramhall Together Trust, a small voluntary group who work tirelessly to put on three events throughout the year. They rely totally on donations and sponsorship to run the events but this is becoming harder as this years Light Up Bramhall cost around £5,500. They put so much time and effort into ensuring the events are a complete success, which benefit the community residents and businesses.

If you would like to be involved or sponsor the next event please get in touch.
