Lumb Lane Park, Bramhall has new friends

28 Jun 2015

Lonely Park Has New Friends! Lumb Lane Park in Central Bramhall, has a new set of friends, The Friends of Lumb Lane Park (FoLLP).

The group of local residents are working together to improve the play facilities of their park, they hope to raise funds to provide a better suited play area for children.

A big problem the park has is vandalism and litter in and around the play area, the FoLLP believe that providing better waste disposal facilities and adequate seating would minimise this.

Teenagers play a big part of the community and they understand that there is not much for them to do, but they have pledge to work with the local schools, The Mill and Bramhall High to carry a proper inclusive consultation, to ensure the park works for the whole community.

Alejandra Solis, local resident and chair of FoLLP adds: “Bramhall is such a lovely area, it’s a shame that the only park we got in the village is not up to scratch, we need to work together and change that”.

“Our aim is to provide a safe space where families can meet up, play, relax, exercise and develop relationships, to build a stronger community and to make Bramhall an even better place to live”.

Everyone is welcome to join The Friends of Lumb Lane Park, the more friends there are the more effective they will become, they love to hear from anyone who is interested in supporting them with ideas, advice, suggestions and of course, time.

They will be meeting at the park Thursday 2 July at 16:00, everybody interested is welcome to come and say hello, we will be discussing the future plans for the playground and future events.
