Modiste Fashion Show 29th September

17 Oct 2016

Just a month after celebrating 5 years in Bramhall Village Square, Modiste held their ninth charity fashion show with a spectacular demonstration of their Autumn/Winter Collection at Turquoise.

These events are now a familiar part of the Bramhall calendar and have, over the year, raised a signicant sum for charity. Modiste’s owner, Sue Day picked Macmillan Cancer Support as the beneciaries of this year’s efforts and the importance of Charity aspect to the fashion show was again demonstrated by another four figure contribution, an amazing £1,138 to be exact.

Sue is quick to point out that a lot of people are required to make such an event work,

“We have to thank all the companies who donated prizes for the raffe, as well as all the people who bought tickets of course!

“Our models are always local people who I persuade to give it a go on the catwalk and every time we have a show most of them are terribly nervous – but they’re always brilliant.“

Staff from Ed’s Hair tended to the models’ hair in their salon on Bramhall Lane South, while regular Fashion Show volunteers the School of Make- Up offered their services again.

Over 100 local ladies snapped up tickets for the show with their usual enthusiasm and for that they enjoyed a two course meal, a welcome drink and brilliant entertainment from local ladies, Sisters in Song.
