New Charcoal Grill Restaurant Opens in Bramhall

Mercato Grill Launches Above Mercato Italiano. 

A mere seven months after the launch of Bramhall’s unique Italian assaggini (small plates) restaurant Mercato Italiano, the successful venue is once again introducing the East Cheshire / South Manchester suburbs to another new Italian dining concept, with the launch of Mercato Grill.

Whilst Mercato Italiano’s assaggini menu excels in creating Italy’s answer to tapas, Mercato Grill serves up seven starters and fourteen mains of the finest cuts of meat and the freshest seafood, marinated and charred over a charcoal grill, echoing traditional Italian al-fresco cuisine.

On a mission to create the finest grilled flavours in the area, Mercato Grill will delight diners with dishes from steak, chicken and lamb, to larger sharing cuts of T-bone and prime rib beef, with rich sauces including peppercorn, béarnaise, gorgonzola and herb butter.

Fresh fish and shellfish range from monkfish and king scallops to swordfish, king prawns and whole lobster, dressed with either salsa verde, gremolata or citronette.

Complemented by a delectable dessert selection, a 50-strong fine wine list and personalised service from a culinary team with a now reputable Italian flair, Mercato Grill also boasts a dedicated bar, serving tempting pre-dinner cocktails, 70 spirits and a variety of beers and cider.

From its inception in early November 2016, the team behind Mercato Grill have transformed this first-floor space from a previous Chinese restaurant into a stunning venue, in a staggeringly short five-week turnaround.

The experienced management and culinary team at Mercato Italiano, together with visionary property developers Diamond Projects, have created a high-end venue reminiscent of a blend of New York loft and European lounge; industrial brick, metal and glass textures sit alongside warm woods, rich wall coverings, leather and satin materials, with eclectic artwork and ambient feature lighting.

Delighting taste, sight and touch, Mercato Grill doesn’t neglect your ears either, having installed an impressive Sonos sound system to deliver a more complete dining experience, that can also be hired for a variety of private celebrations, including birthdays and wedding receptions for up to 60 people.

Envisioned as a multi-purpose venue, the space can also be hired for business events, from meetings and training to client entertaining. Well-specified facilities including flat screen TV with USB / HDMI / Apple Airplay connectivity and secure Wi-Fi, are offered in addition to breakfast, lunch and dinner options, with refreshments offered throughout the hire.
