I LOVE Paws and Play in the Park – BACK for 2022

24 Mar 2022

We are beyond thrilled to officially announce that Paws and Play in the Park is BACK for 2022! This year’s extravaganza will be sponsored by our friends Bramhall Dog Groomers. Thank you, guys!

Paws and Play – Back for Good

The long-awaited return of Cheadle Hulme and Bramhall’s FAVOURITE and FREE fun day out, ‘Paws and Play in the Park’, will be at Lumb Lane Park in Bramhall. Pop it in your diaries now so you don’t miss out on all the guaranteed fun and frolics: Bank Holiday Monday, May 2nd. What better way to spend a Bank Holiday, than in our lovely, local park? No traffic jams, no huge queues, and no spending a fortune on petrol! In fact, if you need to come in your car, park in the village and wander round the shops first.

I Love Bramhall and I Love Cheadle Hulme (and now I Love Alderley Edge, too) are delighted to bring the much-loved free community event, complete with our famous less-Crufts-more-scruffs dog show. This is always a day that brings together residents, businesses and, of course, plenty of guests of the four-legged, furkid variety.

The Show Must Go On

It’s hard to believe that the last Paws and Play in the Park took place almost THREE whole YEARS ago. Back in 2019, our fourth annual event was the best attended EVER, with around 5,000 people enjoying the day. The weather helped, but, rain or shine, the show ALWAYS goes on. A bit of rain never stops play oop North! This year, after an enforced two-year break, we expect visitor numbers to go stratospheric.  If you’re a trader, or an advertiser, book your slot NOW. You really DON’T want to miss this. We have space for stalls and banner advertising so contact us today.

I LOVE Dogs – ALL Dogs

The pupper parade is without doubt the main attraction. Paws and Play welcomes perfectly-bred pedigrees, everything-poo, and Heinz 57 types alike – we love them ALL – and everyone can compete to be crowned canine king or queen. Delightful doggos of all breeds (identifiable or otherwise), sizes and abilities (or lack thereof) can enter. Enter as many classes as you can to be in with a chance of bagging a rosette!

Remembering Darcy and Saving Lives

It’s not just our canine companions who can win prizes, because, as ever, we’ll hold a Grand Charity Raffle. This year, our chosen charity is Pet Blood Bank. This is in memory of I Love Bramhall’s beloved Darcy, who sadly won’t be with us for this year’s Paws and Play – though I’m sure Ziggy will have a wonderful day. Wendy’s best friend Darcy, the bearded collie, fell suddenly very poorly back in 2019. Her blood count was a real problem, and it became apparent that suitable donors were hard to come by. Pet Blood Bank did their best – sadly for Darcy and Wendy, it was not to be, and Darcy is still missed every day. However, Pet Blood Bank CAN help save animals’ lives, but they need OUR help to do so. Please dig deep!

Now all that remains is to get your dogs groomed, your tricks perfected and your fancy dresses planned to perfection. We can’t WAIT to see you and see who’ll be this year’s Best in Show. But, let’s face it, ALL dogs are the best!
