Tasty Networking at Chilli Banana
7 Nov 2015The last few weeks has seen Bramhall buzzing with news of the latest in Thai street food, Chilli Banana, opening its doors in the heart of the village. As ever, Moxie Mingle networking were keen to get in on the act, as it appears were many local businesses.
With Chilli Banana’s reputation preceding itself, Wednesday’s Moxie Mingle was one of the busiest events of the year with 35 attendees packing out the pint-sized restaurant – a mix of regular and new Minglers all eager to network and taste the authentic Thai food that’s got everyone talking.
And we were not disappointed as our hosts Steven and Nok, along with their friendly staff, introduced us to Po Pia Tod – miniature savoury spring rolls with sweet chilli dip, Satay Gai – miniature skewers of chicken served with peanut sauce and finally, the delicate flavours of a Northern Thailand dish from Nok’s hometown.
Yes, it’s fair to say we were spoiled! With drinks and food in hand, conversation flowed freely and our new Minglers soon found themselves chatting away, making plenty of new contacts. Indeed, Wendy founder of Moxie Mingle and ILovebramhall.com had a hard task to quieten the crowd, but with everyone finally under control she took on the mammoth task of introducing every one of her attendees by name and business. Whipping round 35 people with anecdotes and personal stories is certainly no mean feat.
As ever, it is not a Moxie Mingle without plenty of memorable moments together with new business opportunities and all captured by Chelsea Shoesmith Photography.
Wendy’s legendary Moxie goody bags were jam-packed with everyone’s business cards and literature, as well as the much coveted ‘I Love Bramhall’ pen and a bonus Chilli Banana pen! So networking could be simply about getting to know each other, without the dreaded business card swap.
Undoubtedly this lively Moxie Mingle was a perfect precursor to the Jingle Mingle on November 26th at G Casino Stockport. A time for more relaxed networking and some festive fizz. Don’t miss out on your last chance to mingle in 2015. Book here now!
Moxie then takes a break in December, but always looking for venues for the new year.
