A Bramhall Bar Breakdown:

We’re not short of watering holes in Bramhall – you’ll find a great choice of bars to choose from, whether you want to enjoy an afternoon aperitif or evening cocktails with a bite to eat on the side.

The Bubble Room is a particular favourite: expect a friendly ambience and a great range of drinks, as well as tasty traditional dishes and some delicious deals, too. The outdoor seating area is the perfect spot to chill out and catch some sun (hopefully), while the bar area is ideal for a coffee, breakfast or lunch and a chat with friends. Oh, and do bring any well-behaved pups along – dogs are welcome (and positively encouraged)

There’s always something going on at The Bubble Room. Grab a bottle of Champagne for just £20 or a bottle of Prosecco for £15 with their Champagne Friday offer, or tuck into a two-course set menu on Steak Night and enjoy live music on Sunday evening.

A couple of doors down is stylish and contemporary Long Bar, serving up everything from espresso martinis and small plates to full meals – often with a global twist.

Gin lovers, meanwhile, can take their dogs along to 78 Degrees on Woodford Road and savour over 50 varieties of gin (plus wine, prosecco, cocktails and craft ales for good measure). Don’t forget to stop by Yardbird, too, for a gin or two, along with a great selection of wines and flavoursome dishes cooked over fire and smoke.  If you’re planning a visit on a Friday or Saturday, don’t forget your dancing shoes, Yardbird has a DJ til 2am!

If you prefer a more intimate setting, drop by hip bar The Drawing Room for cocktails, beer, burgers and late nights with a backdrop of hand-painted, music-inspired murals and flickering tealights – it’s also doggy-friendly indoors until 9pm.

A Bramhall Pub Breakdown:

It’s a pub, but not as you know it: The Crown and Conspirator is one of the village’s more stylish drinking venues, with a bar area at the front, outdoor terrace (doggies welcome) and a capacious, attractive restaurant to the rear.

Serving up British classics washed down with fine wines, beers and classic cocktails on Bramhall Lane South, The Crown puts on live music at weekends and hosts a soulful DJ session every Sunday from 4pm until 7pm.

Also in the heart of the village is the Victorian – a homely, traditional pub where you can drop by to watch the game with your best furry friend.

Venture a little way out of the village centre to Fir Road and you’ll find The LadybrookHotel – a chain pub housed in a striking, spacious, mock-Tudor building serving all the bevvies you’d expect along with a menu of comfort food.

Over on the other side of the village, nestled within a residential estate, is another traditional pub: The Shady Oak welcomes visitors on two and four legs seven days a week from 12 noon and hosts an evening quiz on Thursdays.

For a change of scenery and a pint with a view, head over to the Cheshire countryside – just not too far. Almost on our doorstep, where Bramhall meets Woodford, is The Davenport Arms, also known as The Thief’s Neck – a historical, dog-friendly pub serving up Robinson’s cask ales and home-cooked food in traditional surroundings.

Intrigued by the pub’s name? You’ll have to visit to find out more – the staff will be happy to tell you the gruesome tale!

Staying on the Bramhall/Woodford border and less than a mile down the road, you will find the newest addition to the village.  Part of the JW Lees family of  pubs, inns and hotels,  The Aviator is situated on the entrance to the stunning Woodford Garden Village, offering a beautiful place to get together over fantastic food & drink.

The menus are packed with homemade pub classics, and the bar is stocked with award winning cask ales, craft lagers and premium spirits and a hand-picked wine list pairing perfectly with the menus.
