What a PAWTY – Happy Birthday Darcey
12 Sep 2019A dog is a man’s best friend, but for Wendy, from I Love Bramhall, Darcey is family! As you may be aware, Wendy Green‘s lovely pooch Darcey has been very poorly over the past few months, so we thought she deserved an extra special Birthday Party this year.
Yesterday, The Bubble Room hosted its first Doggy Birthday Party, Darcey, the well known and loved Bearded Collie turned 8, such milestone couldn’t go unnoticed, so Wendy, threw a pawty!
Darcey’s friends and their humans came in force to celebrate, including Karen Hargreaves from Guinot Bramhall, Sue Day from Modiste, Vanessa Gerrard from Dznr , Laura Hardman from The Baking Tray, Alejandra Solis from Friends of Lumb Lane, Alun Cooper from Alexandra Chase, Angela Farrell from Sandringham Bumble’s mum Sarah Glenn from RGI and Darcey’s doggie-sitters Paul and Debbie.
There was plenty of pawseco flowing and doggy treats a plenty, Darcey had a great time celebrating with her friends, Bumble, Spencer, Noodle and co-worker Mabel.
The humans brought presents to spoil both Darcey and Wendy. In true Bramhall style, it was such a lovely gathering, the doggies, the humans, the kids and in particular, Darcey had a pawsome afternoon!
The guest left with a gorgeous personalised biscuit from the local boutique biscuit designer, Guilded Biscuits, and even though they were beautiful, they also tasted scrumptious and the fabulous The Posh Pet Kitchen gave Darcey a gorgeous birthday cake
A trip to the Woodcroft vet’s mid-July revealed that Darcey had become anaemic for no apparent reason. Wendy was told that Darcey was “living on a knife’s edge” and needed a blood tranfusion urgently.
Its been a constant struggle over the past few months and the situation changes daily for Darcey since she was diagnosed with Immune Mediated Hemolytic Anemia – sadly there is no cure. Wendy is making the most of her time with her beloved best friend, even buying her a doggy pushchair so she can still enjoy ‘walkies’.
