Who are the Bramhall Together Trust
20 Dec 2016This Christmas there was a huge turnout in Bramhall village for the annual Light Up Bramhall Event. It’s one of three large scale events in Bramhall each year, along with Bramhall Festival and Bramhall’s Got Talent.
What you may not know, is that these three events are organised each year by a very small team of volunteers that make up the Bramhall Together Trust.
Formed in May 2014 the ‘Bramhall Together Trust’, has created a partnership between local businesses, community groups and churches. It is a not for profit group, whose sole aim is to organise events in the village for the whole community.
* Bramhall Festival
* Bramhall’s Got Talent
* Light Up Bramhall
With each event costing in excess of £3,000 to stage, the team works hard to ensure that there’s enough money being raised at the events and throughout the year to continue running the events for us all to enjoy.
We are grateful for the financial support from the local area committee (our local counsellors) and the landlords of the Village Square – Himor, but we do rely largely on contributions from local businesses sponsoring or donating to the Trust and the generosity of residents who donate to the collection buckets at each event.
Do you shop online? Do it through easyfundraising.org.uk and raise a free donation for Bramhall Together Trust every time you shop! Click here, it takes 2 minutes to set up!
If you’d like to get involved with the organisation of any of the events or fund raising activities, there are regular meetings through the year, usually at Fords Lane Church – take a look at the Bramhall Together Trust Facebook page where meeting times are announced. It’s really informal and the team is always looking for extra pairs of hands, particularly on event days – anyone is welcome!
Bramhall is a great place to live and work and the Bramhall Together Trust events bring the community together and remind us all why we all love living and working here.
Please do support the team at Bramhall Together Trust – every penny they raise at events is invested back into running future events for us all to enjoy.
And if you have any good fundraising ideas, would like to be a sponsor, can help with our social media, delivering posters, sourcing sponsorship or help on event days, please get in touch – all offers of help are accepted, however big or small!
