Worker Bee Markets are back in Bramhall
26 Feb 2019As part of a commitment to local communities and talented artisans, Worker Bee Markets bring local produce and products to North Bramhall on Sunday 17 March 11am-3pm.
The Worker Bee Markets brand was established last year with a number of successful regular events in Bramhall and Heald Green, a one-off market in Gatley and Christmas events in Didsbury and Manchester City Centre. Hard-working Bramhall-based small business owner Clare Simpson is building on her success by committing to three regular bi-monthly markets at the heart of local communities.
Local makers at the first event include Bramhall creative businesses Lemon Drizzle Tea & Cakes and Jess David’s Glass, alongside Deli on the Market who ran Bramhall Deli in the centre of the village for many years. There will be homeware and coffee from Hazel Grove’s Mazzyanne’s Dresser and Azulito Coffee. Cheshire Bakehouse bring their gourmet sausage rolls across the fields from Cheadle Hulme, whilst local artists Kate O’Brien and Lucy Burgess often use Stockport as inspiration. Over 30 makers and traders will join them for the market which has indoor and outdoor areas, international street food and quality crafts, jewellery, homeware, cheese, fresh bread and produce.
A free stall has been given to Bramhall and Woodford Rotary Club to help promote this year’s Duck Race and Fun Day, taking place at Bramall Hall on 19 May.
‘In 2018, the response to the events was incredible and heart-warming’ said Clare Simpson.‘Customers were walking, cycling, pushing buggies to our markets. There is real local community vibe and you can tell that traders and customers alike enjoyed the atmosphere. The hope is that this year, we’ll bring more markets to more local communities around South Manchester and Cheshire.’
The first event of 2019 will be in Bramhall at 3rd Bramhall Scout hut on Linney Road SK7 3JW on Sunday 17 March, with other events booked in Gatley and Heald Green.
