Cheshire Home Fragrance: Now an award-winning business

25 Sep 2019

Cheshire Home Fragrance is something of a local success story. Established initially by owner Caroline Tiplady as a hobby project, in the short space of two years the business has become one of the best known home fragrance producers in the region, recently scooping a prestigious award! I Love Cheadle Hulme met up with Caroline for all the latest news from Cheshire Home Fragrance HQ.

Tucked away on Bramhall Moor Lane’s National Trading Estate, the Cheshire Home Fragrance showroom is a real treat for the senses. Beautifully laid out with products lining the shelves of several high-quality dressers, there’s a vine-clad feature wall to admire, comfortable chairs to perch on and, of course, dozens of fantastic aromas all mingling together.

It’s easy to while away the time browsing the many products on offer at Cheshire Home Fragrance, including scented candles, wax melts, decorative burners, reed diffusers, plug-ins and car diffusers, too – customers are spoilt for choice! Behind the dressers to the left is where the magic really happens, though – this is Caroline’s workshop, where she whips up lovingly made and elegantly packaged scented creations.

Cheshire Home Fragrance has earned itself a glowing reputation for creating quality products, and it’s not surprising, given Caroline’s stringent standards. An unfailing advocate for the motto ‘if a job’s worth doing, it’s worth doing well’, Caroline takes a pride in her work and is committed to delivering both top-quality products and exceptional customer service.

In fact, this dedication has not only earned Cheshire Home Fragrance the appreciation of customers across the region and beyond, but also an award from business publication Corporate LiveWire Manchester.

The publication contacted Caroline a few weeks ago with the news that the business had been nominated for their Fragrance Specialist of the Year Award. Just days ago, it was revealed that Cheshire Home Fragrance had scooped the title, so impressed were the judges with Caroline’s branding, social media content, customer service and work with charities.

Earlier this year, Cheshire Home Fragrance donated bespoke candles for the guests of the Twinkle Ball, a glittering fundraising event put on by Paddy McGuiness and his wife Christine in aid of the National Autistic Society. It’s the second time Caroline has made such a generous gesture in aid of the good cause, but her charitable nature also came to the fore following the Manchester Arena bombing, when she created commemorative fundraising candles.

In 2017 and every year since, Cheshire Home Fragrance has produced a run of Manchester Bee candles, donating a percentage of the profits to a charity set up by survivor Martin Hibbert. The charity then distributes the funds among the Manchester Children’s Hospital, Salford Royal and Southport Spinal Unit, which all attended to victims of the Arena bombing. So far, Cheshire Home Fragrance has raised more than £3,000 for these vital healthcare services through sales of its Manchester Bee candles.

The limited edition candles are available for a couple of weeks in the year but Cheshire Home Fragrance also offers personalised candles all year round, so if you’re planning a special gift for a loved one, your child’s teacher or even a gift for a client from your business, look no further. In fact, if you pop into Station Road Opticians, you might see (or smell) the scents of Cheshire Home Fragrance bearing some business branding!

Look out for Caroline at the Cheadle Hulme Artisan Market, which takes place every month, or pop into the showroom to browse the full range of home scents on offer. Orders can be placed online as well as in store – all the information you need can be found below:
