Christmas in Hollywood

The money raised from the Christmas in Hollywood Charity Ball will go to the Darren Shahlavi Remembrance Fund that is part of the charity Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY). The aim of the Remembrance Fund is to raise funds to hold cardiac screening sessions in the local community. These sessions will provide those between the ages of 14 and 35 with a free cardiac check to help detect conditions that could cause young sudden cardiac death. CRY’s screening programme has shown that 1 in every 300 people screened will have a potentially fatal underlying cardiac condition. On each screening day CRY would aim to screen 100 young people at a cost of £3,500. Your support at the Charity Ball will help the Remembrance Fund to hold future screening days in this community.
