Famous Henrys takes part in Beacon for Battens

24 Aug 2016

Famous Henrys are proud to be supporting Brecon Beacons Fan dance SAS Challenge on 16 Sept.

On Friday 16th September a number of local business men from the Hesketh Tavern will be taking part in the Brecon Beacons Fan dance SAS Challenge, a gruelling 24km non-navigational race over two sides of Pen Y Fan, the highest mountain in Brecon Beacons.

After months of training, walking up and down mountains across the North West, they are feeling confident and need your support!

They are raising awareness for Battens Disease, a rare and fatal disorder that can occur anywhere between early childhood and young adulthood. This disease causes increasing visual impairment, epilepsy, decline of speech and swallowing skills, meaning those effected are totally dependent on their families and carers in every way. There is currently no cure for this disease, but with your generous donations, they hope to help contribute to making Battens a thing of the past!
