I Love Cheadle Hulme – 4th Birthday Party
6 Jan 2020Christmas party season may be over but I Love Bramhall and I Love Cheadle Hulme will be making up for lost time in January when we celebrate our joint birthday bash in Bramhall!
We announced several weeks ago that our birthday celebrations would be postponed until the new year while Founder Wendy recovered from an operation and the tragic loss of her much-loved dog, Darcey. Fast forward a month and the time has now arrived to get on our glad rags and have some well-deserved fun.
I love Bramhall turned six in 2019 and I Love Cheadle Hulme is celebrating its 4th birthday – it’s time for a bubbly celebration, and how better to mark the occasion than with a special party at one of our favourite local haunts, The Bubble Room?
The fun will get underway at 7pm on Friday January 31st, with plenty of food, drink and DJ entertainment from Interfuture Weddings and Events, as well as music from renowned local singer Ian Lawton and magic from the supremely talented Paul Hazelby. Photographer Chelsea Shoesmith will be working her magic too, capturing the best moments from the night with a click of her fingers.
Tickets are priced at £15 and are available via The Bubble Room – get in touch soon to book your place on the guestlist!
This year, our birthday celebration is being held in aid of local charity Mentell, which provides free support to men experiencing mental or emotional discomfort. The charity is run by volunteers who arrange weekly meetings, at which men are able to talk freely and confidentially about anything that’s on their mind. A raffle will be held on the night with all profits donated to the charity.
Peter Longbottom, who runs local Planning and Landscape business PALS, has been actively volunteering with the charity since it was set up in 2017.
He said: “With organisations like Mentell, awareness is key. I love Bramhall published an article around 18 months ago and this really helped increased awareness by letting people know that Mentell exists.
“The Bubble Room have also shown their support by getting involved with the Turn your Bar Blue campaignand by naming Mentell as their chosen charity. Male suicide is still the single biggest cause of death in men under the age of 45, so as an organisation we are extremely grateful for everyone’s continued support.”
The event is kindly sponsored by independent insurance investigation specialists RGI Solutions, which has been in business for 25 years and is based in Cheadle Hulme.
Associate Director of Finance, Communications & Marketing Sarah Glenn, commented:
“We are delighted to support this local event. Being a local company ourselves, we were made aware of Mentell and the wonderful things they are doing for men with mental health issues. It is a cause close to our hearts and we fully support the charity and what they can offer for men who find it hard to admit they are struggling – it should no longer be seen as a stigma.”
Founder of I Love Bramhall and I Love Cheadle Hulme Wendy Green commented:
“Following a difficult 2019, our party has been a long time coming – we are definitely ready to dust off the cobwebs and celebrate so many successful years at the heart of our communities. Come along and join in the fun while supporting such a deserving cause – it’s going to be a night to remember!”
