I LOVE Future Recruitment
20 Sep 2016We met Jane Houghton Managing Director who started Future Recruitment 14 years ago, they actually celebrate their 14th birthday on 20th September.
Client demand for good candidates is the highest it has ever been since business began.
The main focus of the agency is to find candidates for their client’s needs as quickly as possible. Future Recruitment specialise in the printing and packaging industry .
Jane’s background was not a wealthy one and she was brought up to work hard if she wanted to buy anything for herself. At the age of six her mother bought her a cash register with lots of pretend money and then the obsession to make her own money began. Jane was always trying to sell something or offering to run errands or wash cars to make money.
At the age of 16, Jane’s first job was at a cake company working as an office junior, she then worked abroad at 18 in Greece and when she came home worked as a bar maid at night and helped her mother working on her market stall in the day. It took her till the age of 23 to figure out what she really wanted to do. Jane took an amazing opportunity to train as a recruitment consultant, something that she claims was the best decision of her life. She worked hard and after her first year she bought her first sports car. After the 2nd year she bought her first house… Every year she had a goal!
Future Recruitment’s first office back in 2002 was above Andrew Snape on Station Road. There was only two staff working at the start then they recruited more people and grew the business gradually. Six years ago Jane moved into larger premises at Mellor House. Future Recruitment turned over their 1st million because they had more staff and they had lots more office space to work in. All of the sales staff and managers have their own offices. Jane invested £80,000 in new offices and software and the business expanded quickly. It was a gamble that paid off.
Originally from Hazel Grove, Jane now lives in Bramhall. In her spare time she spends time with her young family and attends as many local charity balls as she can. “It’s a good feeling to give something back to people who really need help!”
On the subject of staff and recruitment, Jane and the team are currently looking for six trainees to be the next superstars of the business. Are you reading this and thinking you need a new job? Maybe you want to be a part of Jane’s journey while her business continues to grow at a phenomenal pace? Get in touch with them – you won’t regret it! Even if you’ve never had any experience in recruitment, the team will give you all the expert training you need to become a competent and reliable worker.
Being head hunters who work for over 10,000 businesses up and down the country requires a good team ethic and positive attitude – exactly what the girls at Future have! You’ll often find them celebrating a good month in the pub or throwing charity balls, as they are doing this year for example. They’re hosting a ‘Christmas in Hollywood’ charity ball at the Hallmark Hotel for a wonderful local charity called Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) along with Elisabeth Shahlavi, who had a sudden and tragic loss of her brother. Future Recruitment have decided to join and support Lis in her efforts to raise as much money as possible for the funds that will go towards preventing young people, like her brother, suffering from young sudden cardiac arrest. See you at the ball on the 3rd Dec
