7 May 2016

Ever wanted to take up tennis? Or bowling? Head to Ryecroft Park Sports Club – a fabulous friendly club, with a warm welcome.

Whether your wish to play socially or seriously, Ryecroft Park is the place for you. The cost is probably far less than you’d think and the benefits far more! We take a look at one of Cheadle Hulme’s best sporting clubs and friends of ILoveCheadleHulme. We are DELIGHTED to be sponsoring the club.

About Ryecroft Park

Founded in 1937, Ryecroft Park Sports Club is a family-friendly club providing Tennis, Bowling and Snooker facilities to Cheadle Hulme. New members are ALWAYS very welcome. Following a fire, a brand new 21st century clubhouse was opened in 2007, providing a contemporary setting for members and the local community.

As well as modern facilities, Ryecroft has plenty to offer. There’s a full size snooker table and a superbly maintained bowling green. The bowling green is considered one of the best around! There’s also a dartboard, TV, table-tennis table and – essentially! – a well-stocked bar. Ryecroft offer a full programme of social events: Quiz Nights, Race Nights, Barbecues, Casino Nights – and regular favourite, Sunday Brunch.

Bowling at Ryecroft

Ryecroft is an active social bowling club with ‘turn up and play’ sessions on most afternoons and Friday evenings. Friendly matches against other clubs are arranged throughout the season, usually on Thursday and Friday evenings. Club competitions take place regularly throughout the season. Usually at weekends, these are well supported. There are a good range of ladies, gents, mixed, level and handicapped events.

Open Day

On Saturday 14 May, from 12pm until 4pm, Ryecroft are holding an Open Day and everyone of all ages and abilities are welcome to try out Tennis and Bowling for free. With fun and games for the kids, together with refreshments and bar available, this is set to be a great fun-filled afternoon.
