Many businesses have suffered this year as a result of covid-19, yet multi-award-winning Short Construction has continued to uphold its longstanding reputation for creating quality high-end developments during these uncertain months.

Residential projects – New Houses, Bramhall

Marking ten years in business in 2020, Short Construction comes highly acclaimed – and with a culture of dedication, professionalism and quality, it’s really no surprise. Over the last decade, the company has gone from strength to strength, recently expanding its commercial division with new projects for Kids Planet nurseries and sites starting soon in the care and office space sectors. Managing Director Adrian Short is confident that the company’s commitment to delivering a bespoke and personalised experience are key drivers in its success.

Commercial Projects – Hillbrook Grange

Short Construction holds a unique position within the construction sector as a large-scale, high-end construction company that retains the core values of the small business from which it grew. Having reached its ten-year anniversary in January this year, the business has overcome the impact of the pandemic and continues to flourish – even if the staff celebrations have had to be put on hold.

Adrian and the team are proud to offer a personalised service – even with the company’s considerable growth over the last decade, Adrian is very much hands-on, dealing with all enquiries personally and continuing to be heavily involved in the running of the company.

It’s not just the quality of its projects that sets Short Construction apart, but also the value the team places on the client experience: clients are gives advance notice of upcoming decisions requiring their input and kept up to date with accurate costings throughout the process.

Projects are assigned a dedicated management team which is on site every day from the outset through to completion, and clients are able to visit completed projects in the area to help with the visualisation of their own development. Everything is carried out attentively, from keeping the site tidy to liaising closely with architects and designers to ensure a seamless end result. It’s details such as these that make the Short Construction journey unique and lead existing and former clients to recommend the company to others.

Managing Director – Adrian Short

To ensure that Short Construction stays at the forefront of the construction industry, Adrian reviews procedures regularly so that they evolve in a managed way. His recent Scale Up training with Barclays and Cambridge University is testament to his dedication to the company’s progress. Every step of the company’s expansion has been carefully considered, from the distinctive branding (look out for their backlit signage!) to the meticulously selected senior management team, who run each of the ten concurrent projects in the same structured manner.

One recent visitor to a Short Construction site in Lymm would be certain to attest to the company’s excellent service: a swan appeared in the grounds of the property and was unable to find its way back to the nearby Lymm Dam. One dedicated team member personally escorted the feathery visitor back to safety, even stopping traffic en route to the destination 100 metres away – a lovely and unique way to show that builders do care!

With over 120 completed schemes since its inception in 2010 and many more in the pipeline, Short Construction has cemented its position as the leading construction company in the North West. Given the company’s impressive standing within the residential sector, the commercial division will undoubtedly be equally successful – we look forward to seeing more illuminated signs in the area!
