Meet Bramhall’s Froggy Friends
18 Aug 2021Did you visit the first Giant Leap Frog Art Trail across Stockport town centre back in pre-pandemic 2019? Well, this Summer, the Stockport frogs are back! And they’ve brought their buddies from the other boroughs – including TWO which have hopped right here into Bramhall, thanks to several local businesses, one being I Love Communities, of course.
Redrow Homes sponsored Bramhall Village Square’s new amphibian occupant, while a group of Bramhall and Cheadle Hulme businesses offered to sponsor ‘Tudor Frog’ who has landed at Bramhall Park. We’d like to thank all our fabulous, fellow generous sponsors and the community spirited Bramhall Area Committee

2021’s Stockport Gigantic Leap Frog Art Trail will see 21 gigantic frogs – and their froglets – hopping into the town centre, as well as 17 further Stockport froggy friends heading to lily pads near you.
Each Stockport frog is unique and has been brought to life by local artists from Arc – Arts for Recovery in the Community – a leading arts and mental health charitable organisation based in Stockport Town Centre.
Jacqui Wood, Artistic Director of Arc said the artists were all delighted to be able to create their own unique designs on the One Stockport frogs:
“Our artists have worked incredibly hard to recreate the designs sent in by people of
Stockport; they make each frog individual and very special and we can’t thank
everyone enough.”
Councillor David Meller, for Cheadle Hulme North, said:
“The frogs are a great way to celebrate our district centres, local areas and our local
businesses – and the aim of the frogs is to get people from the whole of Stockport to
sample what’s on offer across the borough. I’ll be doing my best to visit every one of
the frogs as well as…Stockport’s Gigantic Leap Frog Art trail in the town centre.”
The frogs will be in situ from 24th July until 26th September. Then, they’ll be auctioned to raise funds for St Ann’s Hospice. Hop into the town centre and find all 21 frogs making up Stockport’s Gigantic Leap Frog Art Trail, before heading back to Bramhall to take selfies with our two village frogs. Hashtag Bramhall Frogs, tag us and share away – and be sure to visit all the local businesses who tirelessly support our village and help make Bramhall and Cheadle Hulme what it is today.
