28 Apr 2018Paws and Play family fun day returns to Bramhall for its third year this May Community websites and business directories I Love Bramhall and I Love Cheadle Hulme are delighted to team up once again with Friends of Lumb Lane Park for family fun day Paws and Play in the Park, which will return to Bramhall in May 2018.
Taking place on the bank holiday Monday (7th May) from 12pm until 6pm, the popular dog-friendly event will return to Lumb Lane Park for its third instalment, which is anticipated to be bigger and better than ever.
Bringing together families and friends from Bramhall and beyond – including residents and visitors of the four-legged variety – the free event promises fun for all the family. There will be craft stalls, all kinds of food and drink on offer, bars and activities to keep everyone happy.
Without a doubt, the highlight of the day will be the dog show. As entertaining as it is unpredictable, the unmissable show is proof that every dog has its day; canine contenders strut, wag and woof to be in with a chance of being crowned a Perfect Pedigree, Marvellous Mutt or a Precious Puppy.
Dogs of all sizes and ages are welcome to participate; the cost of entering is £2 per category on the day and dogs can be entered in multiple classes. Stockport Mayor Linda Holt and Cheadle MP Mary Robinson will be joined by representatives from local businesses to judge entries across a range of categories, with certificates and rosettes awarded for first, second and third place in each segment.
An obedience display will be held by Cheshire K9 Training and a charity raffle will take place in aid of Otterspool Animal Haven – a local animal rescue organisation that cares for cats and dogs. Raffle prizes are currently being sought and interested businesses are urged to get in touchwith donation details.
