Runner up prize goes to Chapel Holisitcs

‘Best Local Shop’ was run by Cheadle MP, Mary Robinson, her annual competition sees local residents voting for their favourite establishment.

The competition is supported by Callaghans Estate Agents, iLoveBramhall.com, iLoveCheadlehulme.com and the Federation for Small Businesses, and is designed to promote independent shops across Cheadle and a way for the owners to know how much the local community appreciate and support them.

Mary said: “Cheadle is really lucky to have many wonderful and unique independent shops who are the life blood of our communities.”

We are delighted that the Runners-up were our very own Chapel Holistics in Cheadle Hulme, other winners included Cheadle’s Crafts by the Card Fairy, Best Friends Pets in Gatley, Going Dutch Flowers in Heald Green and the Take 5 café at Stepping Hill Hospital.

The overall winner was Amaranth, based in Bramhall, came first in the Best Local Shop competition bagging almost a fifth of the 800 votes cast.

Sean Callaghan of Callaghans Estate agent agreed saying: “With offices in Gatley, Heald Green, and West Didsbury we know the absolute importance of supporting the local high street. It represents the heart of our community.”

Presenting the owners of Amaranth with their prize, Mary said: “The competition was close but Amaranth was a worthy winner. I’d like to say a huge thank you to the hundreds of people who voted and well done to those businesses who took part.”

Wendy Green, founder of I Love Bramhall & I Love Cheadle Hulme, said: “I am absolutely thrilled, that the overall winner is Amaranth and the runner up prize went to Chapel Holistics. Huge congratulations to both of them, they both hard some work,its well deserved, ”
