
The Big Bramhall Tea Party Returns for a 6th Instalment
26 Jun 2019I Love Bramhall and I Love Cheadle Hulme are delighted to announce that the Big Bramhall Free Tea Party will be returning in July for its sixth annual instalment. This special event brings together elderly residents of Bramhall and Cheadle Hulme for an afternoon of entertainment, special experiences and lots of tasty teatime treats.
Taking place on Friday July 5th from 2pm until 4.30pm, the Big Bramhall Free Tea Party will return to St Michael’s & All Angels Church Hall on St Michael’s Avenue. The event is free to attend for elderly residents from across Bramhall and Cheadle Hulme but tickets are required – request yours by emailing [email protected] or collect from Prestbury Travelin Bramhall Village.
During the afternoon, guests are treated to musical entertainment, afternoon tea with delicious cakes, tasty treats and lashings of hot tea, as well as some special experiences delivered FREE of charge by local businesses. There are also promotional stands from local businesses to browse and plenty of opportunity for fun and friendship.
The event is made possible every year by the generosity of big-hearted sponsors and this year, Prydderch Financial Planning, Silk Road Restaurant and Sunrise Living have all pledged their support for the much-loved tea party, along with Cheshire Hearing Centres, Sinclair Law, Vernon Building Society, In Accountancy and Prestbury Travel. We’re also humbled to have received a generous donation from our Bramhall South and Woodford and Bramhall North councillors.
Lots of businesses, organisations and locals also get involved to help make the event a success. For 2019, I Love Bramhall and I Love Cheadle Hulme are delighted to have the support of so many local businesses, groups and individuals, who will be lending a helping hand in the following ways:
- Guinot Bramhall will be providing free pamper sessions
- Home Instead Senior Care Stockport will be manning a stand
- Students from Bramhall High will be providing entertainment and helping out on the day- any other school pupils who would like to get involved would be most welcome!
- Anytime Fitness Bramhall will be manning a stand and providing refreshments and cakes
- Amaranth will have a stall giving advice, and free samples
- Gary from Absolute DJs Ltdis returning to provide music for the tea party
- Fran Smith, The Happy Potter and Crookilley Crafts Emporium have made some beautiful table decorations – Crookilley Crafts are also providing games for the tables and putting on a crochet demo
- Age UK Stockport will be visiting with a stand
- 4th Bramhall St Michael’s Scout Group will be helping out with logistics on the day
- SuperJam have sent over 100 jars of jam for the tea party
- Bramhall Park Physio will have a stand, and be giving advice on how to stay flexible and fit
- Spreadboroughs are providing gorgeous flowers for the tables
