Wendy Green

Founder

Wendy is the bundle of energy and enthusiasm behind the entire I Love brand. Born and raised in Bramhall, a pupil first at Hurst Head then Hulme Hall Grammar School, Wendy lives literally a stone’s throw from her childhood home and her mum. Wendy’s love for her home and village is at the heart of everything she does. And she does a LOT.

Back in 2013, Wendy already headed Girl Friday and Moxie Mingle Networking. It was a natural progression to turn her love for her village, and talent for connecting people, into I Love Bramhall, the go-to website and social media channels for all things Bramhall. I Love Cheadle Hulme soon followed – When Wendy Met Kate (not quite a movie).

I Love Bramhall’s dynamism and sense of community thrived in Cheadle Hulme too, and, very soon, will go beyond. Because let’s face it, we should ALL love where we live. So I Love Alderley Edge will be with us VERY soon, with eight more locations already in the pipeline.

Wendy’s love of her village, local businesses, and connecting people shines through in everything she does. She created the ‘I Love…’ brand from that, along with a desire to bring the community together; to share and promote fantastic events and activities, as well as give local businesses, groups and clubs the chance, the platform and the support not just to survive, but THRIVE. The I Love ethos encourages people to shop and support local; to be involved with their area. I Love is about belonging. For the residents, businesses, churches, schools, community groups and home-based businesses. Everyone!

For Wendy, I Love Bramhall is more than a business. She also volunteers tirelessly, which her Stockport Community Hero award recognised. She’s been proud to be involved with Bramhall Together Trust, relaunched the annual Bramhall Festival, and spearheaded Light Up Bramhall and Bramhall’s Got Talent. Wendy also organises The Bramhall Tea Party – a completely free event for 250 senior citizens – and Paws in the Park, a brilliant doggy day out for all. Most recently, Wendy devoted considerable time and effort to Covid-safe collections for the local food bank.

Wendy loves, lives and BREATHES her work, but in (very, very rare) spare time also loves walking – especially with Ziggy, the four-legged love of her life – getting out and about in her village, and spending time with friends (whom she’s known as long as she’s loved Bramhall. Forever!)
